Aim:

Coaching is something that is typically not given the time and thought it is due, but the phrase ‘coaching for performance’ has certainly increased in use over the last two decades. We have to ask ourselves the question; ‘Do I coach – really?’ and often the answer is ‘I don’t have time to’. So, whereas the term coaching is widely known and common in management speak, it is not always common in practice.

Coaching is a crucial element of any people manager’s armoury and this toolkit will provide participants with practical techniques to develop highly effective coaching skills. These skills can be used in everyday working life, to encourage people to maximise their potential, to be the very best version of themselves and to deliver the high performance that is expected.

  • Understanding the importance of the goal setting that drives performance
  • Exploring the importance of timely and effective feedback.
