Description

Aim

Performance management is something that typically does not receive the attention it requires. Rather than being a fundamental element of management within an organisation, it is often overlooked, resulting in a lack of focus on results, low motivation and low engagement from employees. Many people are unclear about what constitutes performance management. Frequently, people may have had poor experiences, making the process challenging for managers to deliver effectively. Our performance management training provides the perfect solution to these challenges.

The training materials guide learners to understand the value of performance management to the individual, the manager and the organisation. Participants will reflect on the barriers that prevent them actioning performance management consistently, developing mechanisms to over each. Contextualising the ‘golden thread’ is covered, providing learners with an understanding of how SMART goals and objectives connect back to the business, creating organisational alignment.

The training session navigates the identification of effective measures and ways of monitoring goals/objectives; providing the opportunity to practice their new skills on real team member objectives.

The final modules of the performance management training session cover the crucial role of timely feedback and having difficult conversations. Participants will explore and apply feedback approaches to real scenarios, in addition to spending time practising models that will enable them to face into tough conversations with courage and confidence.

The workshop includes all the fundamental principles to help your learners develop as great performance managers.
