Talk of peak performance is rife in most organisations. But what does it mean? More specifically, what does it mean at an individual level? Training Central’s Peak Performance Game game helps learners reflect on their past experiences of peak performance, enabling them to contextualise what peak performance looks and feels like to each of them.

Description

Peak Performance Game Objectives

To allow group members to identify a specific activity or incident that evidences peak performance. This Peak Performance Game encourages awareness of how performance looks and feels. Consequently, the activity is most suited for a time when discussing performance/high-quality service.

Peak Performance Game Instructions

Explain to your group that they are going to play an activity that helps to explain what peak performance means to each of them.

Ask delegates to consider an occasion when they experienced peak performance. The moments may be a personal experience, where they delivered a high-quality performance, or when they received high-quality service, etc.

When your delegates are ready, ask them to share their example with the group. The caveat is that they need to share their peak performance example in less than 60 seconds.

After each person has shared their experience, highlight the common themes.
